Makemake, Matrices, Methods, Madness and Magic ~ 22 July 2008

I’m quite sure it’s not just me. But golly-jeez, dagnubbit, are the energies out there are weird or what?. Here in Arizona the daily prayer is for relief from the monsoon rains such that people might be refreshed enough to do what they originally set out to do and roughly when they estimated they’d get it done. People seem self-referential, distracted and impulsively critical. Some claim it’s the effects of two strong and edgy planets in Virgo: self directed, impulsive Mars and get down with that workload Saturn. But that factoid is incorrect. There’s a third “planet” in Virgo: Makemake.

Clearly a plutoid by new definitions, Makemake, according to one NASA post (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap080716.html) is a dwarf planet of the plutoid kind - the kind of definition that works. This definition, by nature, is inclusive and open ended, exactly the kind of methodology that can work to sort out a mishmash of facts. In Virgo times, simple, discerning and open minded attitudes work best. Makemake is in Virgo. It is of the TNO family, like Eris and Pluto that wields potent impact when considering the relative factors of diameter, gravity, density and mass, a process that includes a series of physical attributes instead of relying upon a distilled collection of data to justify a biased point (you check out the Does Size Matter article on my site). The cherry picking technique of data applications stands in defiance of the culture of Rapa Nui, a crossroad point in the Pacific from which the Makemake mythology originated and now seeks to apply creative, fertile applications in a magical mix that can increase objectivity, awareness and integration of those things divergent from known thought directions. Let no fact be excluded, issues Makemake, especially those that contribute to clearer consciousness

It is true that Mars soon leaves Virgo (August 19th), theoretically rendering some relief from Saturn’s disciplined approach of fact-finding, order-creation and disciplined dedication to dharmic causes. Before Mars departs Virgo, Venus enters the golden wheat fields of the Virgin (August 6th) as does Mercury (August 10th). That collection figures to five planets in Virgo up to the 19th when there’s a three-day break until the 22nd when the Sun enters Virgo, making the tally at five planets again. And let’s not even consider that the TNO, Logos, and the Scattered Disk Object, Typhon, are also in Virgo.

(Weather note: Typhon, known for his ability to create ill winds, and Saturn will be conjunct in Virgo in the last half of August. Given the Saturn to the aphelion of Mars turbulent effect noted in previous Galactic Times, attention should be paid to anomalistic wind/storm patterns during this time. Typhon also bears an association with subterranean lava flow and volcanic activity rooted in the underworld).

Soon Mars will meet up with Makemake, followed by Mercury, Venus the Sun and Uranus (opposition). While we can contend that we’ll learn all about new planets with direct transits to them, the time can be perplexing without some general guidelines or templates to encourage personal application and integration of these newly noted influences. The same is true of 2003 EL61, which will soon be directly impacted as the planets, led by Mercury, Mars and Venus. Terrific! Before we knew about these new bodies we had less to think about. Now with all this stuff you’re adding, the matrix is more maddening than ever. We were better off before. Were we?

Last week I had an e-mail exchange with one of the few well-known astrologers willing to put his butt on the line with new planet research and definition. We compared notes on the resistence to Eris, the blind and bigoted commentary about new astronomical influences and their import on forums and blogs. It’s frustrating, to say the least, to present the new information to be criticized and condemned (not the same as discernment and creatively critical thinking) by those who’ve not given a moment’s thought to the bodies we’ve been working with for several years. No matter, we say to discriminate against such judgment and to encourage ourselves into moments of more prolific promulgation. Here’s a fundamental series of facts submitted for Saturn’s approval in which consideration of the new planets create some new indisputable truths.

There are new dwarf planets in our solar system, which by consideration of all physical attributes have as much significance as the gaseous giants and the closer, smaller terrestrials.

These planets influence us whether we like it or not.

These planets bear archetypes of transformational themes and seed our consciousness with insights that result in antidotal remedies for the perplexing matters of our complicated, overwhelming, multilayered world. Ignoring the valuable evolutionary emphasis of these new bodies could be sheer folly.

And in the realm of pure speculation, there might yet be more planets out there... farther out beyond what has been previously considered, possibly large and undeniably part of our solar system. What then?

The hell with what then. What now? Given the overwhelm of the volume of planets in Virgo over the next two months. As we watch these transits unfold, we’ll certainly learn more, personally and collectively. But for now, at least point the tip of the magic wand upward and declare that you too wish to include all that is available for healing, growth and the unfolding magic of expanding consciousness. I am reminded of a gravestone I saw in a Revolutionary War era cemetery in New Jersey. On the tomb of a minister it read, “Oh reader, if you could have heard his last words you would know the folly of delaying repentance but one day.”

Indeed. Repent and include the magic of the new planets as to avoid the folly of discrimination. What the hey, we’ve got a refreshed solar system out there dripping with the nectar of antidotes a plenty. Drink up.
